Fieldlight Support

Help for camera access, film ISO behavior, exposure recommendations, and common setup issues.

If The Meter Does Not Update

Confirm camera permission is enabled for Fieldlight in iOS Settings. The app needs the live preview to estimate scene brightness.

If ISO Feels Locked

In film mode, ISO represents the loaded film stock and stays locked until you intentionally change it. In digital dynamic ISO mode, the app may recommend ISO along with aperture and shutter speed.

If A Setting Looks Unavailable

Fieldlight estimates exposure using iPhone camera data and clamps recommendations to your camera profile. Check the shutter speed range, aperture range, and handheld preference in Settings.

If Readings Are Critical

Fieldlight is designed as a practical field meter, not a lab instrument. For critical work, compare against a trusted meter or a gray card in the same light.
